BIOGRAPHY :

With more than 35 years of experience as a consultant or high-level expert in different international organisations, Issa BARRO is a specialist in financial inclusion and inclusive business models, with a particular focus on the promotion of youth entrepreneurship through incubation systems and access to finance, the design of strategies to support the creation and development of SMEs, rural and SME finance, and the formulation of programmes in various sectors (microfinance, rural development, agriculture, employment). He has a solid reputation for professionalism and moral and intellectual probity through his numerous works carried out in more than 30 countries in Africa.

Issa Barro holds a Ph.D. in International Management (International School of Management, Paris), a D.E.S.S. in Diagnosis of Firms Facing International Competition (Pierre Mendes-France University, Grenoble), a Certificate of Graduate Studies and Professional Development (Boston University Graduate School of Management, Boston), and a Certificate of Banking Capacity (Institut Technique de Banque, Paris). His Ph.D. thesis focuses on improving access to finance for African SMEs through the application of inclusive business models.
